Malcolm Stalker – Partner

“We allow people to have the confidence to stop worrying about their money.”

One of your biggest concerns in life is likely to be your financial wellbeing. Whether this is regarding long-term retirement planning, investments, or relating to your immediate circumstances, these concerns consume a great deal of your time and energy.

My job as a financial adviser is to understand your financial goals and earn your trust, so that I can provide you with financial coaching. Ultimately, the advice I provide is not about me – it is about helping you to develop an educated and worry-free relationship with your money.

I provide advice and guidance on a wide range of financial planning areas, to help you achieve your own specific financial needs and ambitions, including:

  • financial planning – I will use cash flow modelling, where appropriate, to help make sure your actions today lead to you having the life you want now, and in the future;
  • pension planning for retirement – to help you achieve the lifestyle you want in retirement;
  • pension options at retirement – to guide you through what choices you may have and what might be best for you;
  • saving and investments – to help make sure your money is working harder for you;
  • trust and estate planning – to help preserve and protect your wealth for future generations;
  • business solutions (if applicable) – to guide you and your business towards achieving your objectives; and
  • employee benefits (if applicable) – helping plan and deliver a scheme to add value and increase wellbeing across your business.

You can contact me for an initial meeting at no cost to you, by calling 0777 565 1046  or emailing malcolm.stalker@fosterdenovo.com.

VouchedFor Top rated adviser 2021I was voted one of VouchedFor’s UK Top Rated Financial Advisers 2021; this aims to highlight those financial advisers who are consistently doing an excellent job for their clients.

The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate taxation and trust advice. The value of your investment can go down as well as up and you may not get back the full amount invested.

  • How I work

      I work on the basis that people need to like each other and that you need to make a connection with people to work well together.

      Financial advice is, at its heart, a coaching position. As such, my role is to help and guide you in achieving your financial goals.

      Many of the clients I work with have been with me for a very long time. I like to build lasting, long-term relationships, sometimes even from generation to generation within families.

      I have an excellent and experienced team around me who have their unique abilities and roles in the process. In our team the emphasis is on what ‘we’ do to help our clients; it is not only about ‘me’.

      We prioritise building trust and allowing you to enjoy a relationship with money which is free from worry.

  • How I can help you

      I prefer to see my role as that of a strategic coach, rather than just a financial adviser. I am keen to understand your requirements and desires, so that I can guide you towards those goals.

      My team and I will help you gain confidence and trust to relax in the knowledge that your money is working for you and your family.

  • My team

      I have a dedicated team of six, each of whom contribute their unique skills and abilities:

      Nicola Hillcox – Paraplanner – I have over seven years’ administrative experience within the finance industry, more than 3 of which have been spent at Foster Denovo. I recently progressed to a paraplanning role after gaining my Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice in 2019. I love being part of the Foster Denovo Newcastle office. It is like a family. Spreadsheets are my guilty pleasure!

      Lisa MacDonald – Senior Client Experience Executive –  I have worked with Malcolm for over 9 years now, starting as an administrator then progressing to managing the admin team. I gained my London Institute of Banking & Finance level 3 qualification (CertPFA – Certificate in Paraplanning & Financial Administration) in 2018. We are a fantastic team and thrive both within the workplace and socially.

      Karen Dickie – Client Experience Executive – I’ve worked in the financial sector for a number of years and joined Malcolm’s team in 2017. Since being at Foster Denovo, I have gained my CertPFA. I enjoy being part of the team, both at work and socially.

      Rachel Pattinson – Client Experience Administrator – I have worked with Malcolm for more than two years and support him in managing his diary to help organise regular meetings with clients.

  • Outside of work

      I enjoy physical training, including going to the gym, lifting weights, body combat classes and cycling. Nowadays, most of the exercise I do is damage limitation and keeping fit, although in the past I have completed several marathons. I also enjoy reading and volunteer with Age UK.
