The ever changing benefits landscape – Research

In the week the Prime Minster triggers Article 50, nearly two thirds of HR professionals tell us they expect Brexit to impact their HR strategy.

Research conducted by our employee benefits division, Secondsight, highlights that 62% of HR professionals expect the decision to leave the European Union (EU) to impact their HR strategy.  More than one third, 35%, said the vote will impact on profits and 37% have opted not to hire over the coming year.

Commenting on the findings, Ian Bird, director of business development at Secondsight, said: “There’s no doubt the leave vote sent shockwaves through many organisations, and the uncertainty brought by this has clearly had an impact on HR and their strategy, as our research suggests”

Other findings from the research include:

  • More than half of employers, 55% are offering access to a wellbeing programme;
  • 53% of employers offer a benefits package as a way to look after their employees; and
  • 29% of employers would like to offer financial education as a benefit this year.
