Foster Denovo’s very own World Champion!

On Saturday 29th August, one of our advisers, Sally Read-Cayton competed in the women’s 400m Masters event at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing and won the race!

The Masters races were by invitation to the fastest age-group runners in the world at the women’s 400m and men’s 800m.

Sally knew she was in good shape and was confident that she had a good chance of winning the race. She recorded a time of 60.05 – her fastest in five years, to win by over 3 metres!

Sally comments: “I was so thrilled to represent Great Britain in such an amazing setting; the noise of the crowd really spurred me on. I’m absolutely delighted to have won, the TV coverage and the messages of support have been over whelming – the training and hard work really paid off.”
