Half of firms do not offer financial education

More than half of companies do not provide any financial education to their employees, despite experiencing demand from staff to do so.

The research from employee benefit advisers Secondsight, which is part of Foster Denovo, revealed that 50 per cent of HR professionals have had requests from workers for access to this type of guidance.

However, of those businesses that did have the provision, 51 per cent did so because it improves engagement. This was echoed by three-quarters of workers who agreed that it made them feel more positive towards their employer.
