Importance of Strong Referral Relationship

In a highly competitive market, strong referral relationships are more important than ever and can help attract clients, says Charles Wootton.

The foundations of a referral relationship should be built on trust, and not be based on financial arrangements – where one party provides a commission or fee for the referral. The value is not in the commercials, it’s about the improved or enhanced service provided. If, for example, one of the parties has a general query, they can pose this to their partner for a quick (non-fee based) response.
