Guide to retirement saving – Foster Denovo
Clients’ pension pots typically need to be invested in a way that shields them somewhat from the vagaries of the stock market but that leave them with enough exposure to assets that are going to accumulate some capital over time.
Simply being invested in either equities or bonds is not going to be suitable for many clients’ pensions.
Sharing his thoughts with FT Adviser for their guide to retirement saving, Jamie Smith, Financial Adviser at Foster Denovo states “In general, with interest rates at record lows and the enormous stimulus provided by central banks and government spending, returns from equities and bonds have become increasingly correlated.
Looking forward, they are potentially more sensitive to interest rate rises and future bouts of inflation.”
