Women in Finance
Our pledge to help increase female’s representation in leadership roles within the financial services industry
Financial services has traditionally been a male-dominated sector and, despite a number of initiatives to address this gap, gender diversity still remains low at industry levels.
In 2019, 43% of the financial services industry was made up of women, with only a 20% representation on executive committees.
As members of the Women in Finance Charter, we are committed to being part of the solution to change the industry gender imbalance through our recruitment processes and procedures, as well as our development and mentoring programmes.
We have a strong succession planning process in place which supports the development of junior employees into our senior roles. To help achieve this goal, we embrace our culture and values within our workplace so each employee can thrive and meet their full potential.
At Foster Denovo, over 50% of women make up our workforce with 38% of these occupying senior positions. Our aim is to exceed the target of 40% of women in all our senior roles by 2024.
Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that our workforce is a true representation of all sections of society, and for each employee to feel respected and able to succeed in their role.
It is important for us to encourage an equal balance of talent in our business across all diversity & inclusion groups, to ensure that we are aligned with our 2023 policies, including our Diversity and Equality policy and Recruitment and Selection policy.
